Hi everyone, my name is Tracey! I am a recent graduate of NYU with a bachelor's in global public health and sociology. I am on the pre-PA track, and I hope to specialize in pediatrics.
My favorite part of being a babysitter is getting to know what truly interests the kids under my care. I love learning what activities they like so that I can create exciting projects with them, especially when they stay home on rainy days. One of my favorite things to do is have spontaneous dance parties and cook together!
I also believe that kids should be active and spend at least an hour every day outside. I like going to the park, where kids can kick a ball, play tag, climb, or hang on monkey bars. Afterward, we can get ice cream or pizza (with my parent's permission).
When watching children, creating boundaries and being alert at all times are essential to creating a safe environment for them. Teaching kids manners and respect is my number one rule. I always say that if you give respect, you receive respect. Laying out your rules clearly and from the get-go while ensuring the kids feel heard - is key for me. My outgoing personality is definitely helping me create good connections with kids under my care.
In my free time, I love to cook or bake, visit galleries, or attend art shows.
