Nettie

Hi! My name is Nettie. I moved to Brooklyn two years ago from a small coastal town in Maine. I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Media Studies, Journalism, and Digital Arts from Saint Michael's College in 2020. I've always loved to write, connect with people, and learn more about the world.I’m currently working as a Digital Content Writer for a mental health agency. I'm passionate about mental health advocacy and equity.

I have over 8 years of experience caring for infants, toddlers, and young children as both a
babysitter and a private nanny. I also have many years of experience as an after-school mentor. I’m currently volunteering with a Brooklyn-based nonprofit that aims to strengthen children’s literacy skills, and I volunteer with the Tibetan Service Center in Queens.

I love finding creative ways to connect with children, whether it's playing games in the park, listening to music, reading together at the library, or creating an art project together: painting, drawing, or collaging. I believe in bringing play, learning, and social connections to children. All children deserve the right to a happy, healthy, and loving childhood! I’m reliable, open-minded, compassionate, playful, and caring.

I’m so excited to meet all of the Project Date Night families!
