What is Project Date Night?
Project Date Night is a membership-based babysitting company that provides on-demand childcare coverage for families in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens. We’ve been in business since 2014. We cover babysitting requests that range from date nights to full days and even whole weeks. Our specialty is last-minute and emergency childcare coverage.
As we are not a recruitment or placement agency, we do not provide full-time and part-time contracted nanny matches and placements (meaning we do not search for or match families with full-time/part-time nannies). We make some exceptions, where our nannies and babysitters can work as full-time/part-time caregivers, filling in short-term childcare needs ( no longer than 6 months) under our membership program. We go “case by case” and decide based on the best solution for the family and the sitter. Please remember that temporary full-time/part-time coverage depends heavily on our team’s availability and may require a team of 2-3 people to make it happen. (Families interested in hiring one of our sitters full-time can inquire via email, and we will discuss a possible solution.)
Aside from working with families that need date nights, we also work with families that need daytime coverage but have irregular childcare needs due to their work (freelancing). We also provide backup care for families with full-time care (nanny, daycare, school) whenever additional help is needed. We can cover whenever your nanny goes on vacation or takes a sick day or if your little one is under the weather and can’t attend daycare.
